Duration 6 weeks

The7 Mandatory Units are:
  • Working with stretcher bond walling
  • Constructing block wall
  • Constructing cavity wall with recess
  • Working with timber frame in block work
  • Constructing cavity wall using pre-cast stone arch
  • Constructing brick and block gable end


The 7 Optional Units are:
  • Constructing semi circled arch - rough ringed
  • Constructing single flue chimney and pot
  • Use decorative bond in bricklaying
  • Constructing attached pier with decorative wall bond
  • Constructing overdailing course with decorative bond
  • Working with course and random rubble stonework
  • Constructing and English bond manhole
Additional Units:
  • Basic Construction Skills Health and Saftey test
