below are some images to give you an idea as to building a porch or extension with face bricks a cavity and 4 inch blocks

so we laid out the dpc (damp proof course) the bricks used below dpc would ordinarily be high density engineering bricks and would be harder wearing against the elements of the weather |

now if you have to leave it here for inspection it would be a good idea to sit a few bricks along the dpc to stop it being blown away in high winds |
